1. What's your role within grid computing?
 

Managemnt and policy decisions within various projects.

 
2. Why did you get in to grid?
  Because many people from High Energy Physics do!
 
3. What did you study at university?
Applied Physics BSc, Experimental Particle Physics PhD.
 
4. What did you want to be at school?
Fighter Pilot.
 
5. What are the highlights of your job?
Travel, interfacing with almost as many different disciplines as there are within academia.
 
6. What are the lowlights of your job?
Too much travel.
 
7. What do you do when you’re not at work?
Rebuild vintage cars, renovate period houses.
 
8. What are your goals for the next year?
50 sites into the UK NGS.
 
9. Would you encourage your children to get in to grid and IT?
No, medicine, pharmacy, law, anything where you an basically charge what you like because the users are deperate!
 
10. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Happy and content with a beautiful family and with a job I enjoy waking up to every weekday.
