1. What's your role within grid computing?
As collaborator and proponent of Grid technology in Malaysia especially among lifescience researchers and non-computer scientists .
2. Why did you get in to grid?
The need for high performance computing and huge data storage of biotechnology information.
3. What did you study at university?
BSc in Biology, MSc in Veterinary Immunobiology, and PhD in Plant Molecular Biology.
4. What did you want to be at school?
Medical Doctor.
5. What are the highlights of your job?
First ever non-computer scientist to become CIO/Director of ICT Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia (May be Malaysia!); Founding member of the group that initiated Malaysian Research and Education Network (MYREN).
6. What are the lowlights of your job?
Always playing catch up with yearly academic KPI's.
7. What do you do when you’re not at work?
Being with my family.
8. What are your goals for the next year?
Searching for knowledge through the internet; Jamming session with Ad Hoc UPM Band.
