1. What's your role within grid computing?
  I am responsible for the operational security of OSG.
 
2. Why did you get in to grid?
  I was doing my PhD at NC State University. I read a few of Dr.Foster’s articles and got really interested in the security challenges in the grid community.
 
3. What did you study at university?
PhD in Computer Engineering, Information Security
 
4. What did you want to be at school?
Engineer
 
5. What are the highlights of your job?
Solving interesting security problems. Always trying to play the devil’s advocate, trying to see what could go wrong or what are the weaknesses of our infrastructure
 
6. What are the lowlights of your job?
Stress, especially while making decisions during an incident.
 
7. What do you do when you're not at work?
Run, run a lot (race) and play tennis
 
8. What are your goals for the next year?
Personal goal is to complete my first marathon. The professional goal is to organize OSG security policies and establish well thought-out incident response procedures.
 
9. Would you encourage your children to get in to grid and IT?
Probably, by then we will have different technologies. But certainly I would encourage them to get into the computer science, which I personally love
 
10. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I won’t grow up anyore :)
