Notice anything new? That's right. The GridCafé website has received a facelift, bringing it up to date with the growing success of grid technology.
Once little more than a dream, grid technology has come in to its own, powering real science all over the world. This new GridCafé includes examples of international and national grid science projects, and continues to answer your big questions: What is grid computing? What can it do for me? What might it mean for our world?
This new-look GridCafé includes all-new content as well as links to new grid computing blogs and podcasts. We’ve also introduced drop-down menus to help you navigate more easily. Originally produced by CERN in 2003 to explain grid computing to non-experts, GridCafé has been nominated for a Pirelli International award and a Webby award, and has been translated into several languages. At the moment the new design for the site is only available in English, but we’re working on the other translations. And watch this space, because we also plan to add Spanish to this mix.
